Weekly Update 15.7.22

Mrs Trotter (l.trotter) on: Maple Tree Class Blog

Hi,

The Year 6 Leavers' Production is coming together and we completed rehearsals without a script this week.

Unfortunately, due to the extreme weather forecast for next week we have had to change the date and time of the performance. The performance will now take place on Thursday 21st July at 9:15am. We appreciate that parents / carers may have made special arrangements to attend on Tuesday but hope you understand that an alternative date needed to be decided on due to the high temperatures forecast for that day and to give reasonable notice to anyone who wishes to attend. Please can children be advised if they will need 1 or 2 tickets so that we can release tickets to families who may request more than 2. These additional tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served by basis by emailing the class email account on maple@ruffordparkprimary.org.uk

Due to the extreme weather conditions, it is essential that children bring their water bottle and have a sunhat with them. They can wear PE kit every day. We plan to have a 'Summer Fun Day' on Wednesday 20th July (once the temperature has dropped!).

The winners of Rufford's Young Apprentice  'Grow a £5' were announced. Well done to all those involved. The children raised over £500 between them and can look forward to a special treat next week.

Looking forward to the final week of exciting events in Year 6.

Stay safe in the hot weather.

Mrs Trotter

A week filled with rehearsals, Sports' Day and the much awaited arrival of the Leavers' Hoodies.

Many thanks to the FORP for funding the hoodies for every Year 6 child. The children were very excited to receive them!

Have a great weekend.

Weekly Update 1.7.22

Hi,

Rehearsals for the Leavers' Production are going well. Everyone needs to learn their lines as scripts will be removed at the end of next week!

The second Market Day Event was held on Thursday. The children have really enjoyed the opportunity to raise some money for the FORP and had some great ideas. Each group / individual has now calculated the profit they have made. The winners will be announced next week.

On Thursday, Leeds United Foundation came into school to run a PSHE workshop called Primary Choices. The children thought about the positive and negative choices that they can make and considered the consequences of both.

Another hectic week comes to an end.......

Enjoy the weekend

Mrs Trotter
