Weekly Update 1.4.22
Mrs Trotter (l.trotter) on: Maple Tree Class Blog
Hi everyone,
A short but busy half-term has come to an end.
The children have shown great maturity when completing their work and assessments. They have received a folder with some maths and English activities. I have explained that I do not expect everything to be completed but it would be helpful for the children to take a look and complete some of the activities to maintain the level of learning that they have worked hard to achieve this term. I want everyone to enjoy their break.
The children have had a meeting today about the residential and we have discussed what they need to bring and the general arrangements. Please email the Maple email account if you have any further questions about the residential trip.
Have a lovely break!
See you in the summer term

Hi,
A busy week of assessments done! Everyone has shown great focus and the assessments have shown super progress since September. We have also spent some time discussing the forthcoming residential this week and the children were excited to see photos from the last Year 6 residential in 2020.
Just a reminder that the parents' residential meeting will be on Monday 28th March 3:30 - 4:00 in the Year 6 classroom. Please do not worry if you can't attend as all the relevant information has been sent home and any queries can be emailed to the class email account maple@ruffordparkprimary.org.uk. Please can all consent forms be returned by Tuesday 29th March (there are two forms). Another form is being sent home with the children today which includes emergency contacts and medical details.
Enjoy the sunny weekend ahead!

Hi,
This week in English we published our newspaper reports. Maple really enjoyed being reporters over the last few weeks and created some super pieces of work.
In maths, my group are beginning to learn about angles and Miss Bairstow's group have completed their work on fractions and will be moving onto decimals and percentages next week.
**YEAR 6 RESIDENTIAL**
Our Year 6 residential to Peat Rigg is fast approaching and we have added a PowerPoint presentation with further details about Peat Rigg to the "INFORMATION FOR PARENTS" section on both the Ash and Maple webpages. We will continue to update this section with additional relevant information over the coming weeks. Parents will be receiving an information leaflet and a consent form that will need to be completed and returned next week. We will also be holding a meeting in school on Monday 28th March 3:30 - 4:00 to give you the opportunity to find out a little more and ask any questions you may have.
Have a great weekend.
