Weekly Update 3.12.21

Mrs Trotter (l.trotter) on: Maple Tree Class Blog

Hi everyone,

A hard working, fun and focused week! Everyone has shown an amazing attitude to a range of assessments this week. It has been lovely to hear the constructive and supportive discussions the children have had with each other. Well done!

The children completed their science study of forces by investigating buoyancy with Mr Smith

We have also enjoyed continuing to learn songs from the Christmas production of The Snow Queen.

Have a lovely weekend.

Mrs Trotter

Weekly Update 26.11.21

Hi,

A busy week completing and publishing our descriptive setting writing. The children are becoming more proficient in their descriptions and have worked hard to use additional information to paint a picture in the reader's mind.

Mr Smith came into school on Wednesday and the class continued with their science topic of forces by investigating friction. They looked at how different surfaces can affect the speed of movement. The investigation will be completed next week when the results are analysed and written up.

Lots of bottles and gifts arrived for the Christmas Fayre - thank you to everyone who donated.

Have fun if you are coming to the fayre tomorrow.

Weekly Update 18.11.21

Mrs Trotter (l.trotter) on: Maple Tree Class Blog

Hi everyone,

Our week started with a fantastic array of odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique as part of Anti-Bullying Week.

Lots of great descriptive writing has been taking place as the children wrote a setting description of a Victorian Street. Once again, they have been using an amazing range of vocabulary that they have learned from reading Street Child and their other topic based work.

The week ended with everyone dressed in their own clothes with a contribution made to Children in Need.

Have a lovely, long weekend!

See you on Monday

Mrs Trotter
