Kooth - mental health and wellbeing support
Kooth is a web based confidential support service available to young people (from age 10). Kooth provides a safe and secure means of accessing mental health and wellbeing support designed specifically for young people. This short video will tell you more about the service: Kooth video
Kooth is a free and anonymous service which is accessed via their website (it is not an app or a phone service). When signing up, children must choose their age and month of birth; this information is used to regulate what information children can see on the website.
Once registered, children can then browse magazine articles (created by counsellors and peers), discussion boards and chat forums. Children are also able to use the website for their own online journals, goal settings and online text based or live counselling and wellbeing support, if they require it.
