Hello,
Maple Tree Class have had a creative week.
On Monday, the children developed their pencil drawing skills with a visiting artist. They learned how to draw birds and will continue with this theme in a series of lessons in the coming weeks.
The children also worked on the next stage of their automata animals in their design and technology lesson. The children measured where to drill the required holes and used drills and saws in preparation for the next stage of their moving animal.
On Thursday, the class continued to enjoy learning a dance routine with a Leeds Rhinos dance couch. They are enjoying every minute!
The Year 6 Leavers' Hoodies are now available to order from PC Sports . Please click on the link below.
Thank you to the Friends of Rufford Park for providing the funds for these. All orders need to be made by Friday 2nd June so they can be delivered to school by before the end of June.
Have a super weekend!

Hi,
A big well done to all of the children this week on completing their Key Stage Two Standard Assessment Tests (SATs). Everyone enjoyed their breakfast of toast and jam, fruit and juice before completing the assessments each day. There was a lovely calm and focused atmosphere and the children rose to the challenge that the assessments provide. A big thankyou to the staff from throughout school who helped to provide breakfast each day.
To complete the week, Year 6 enjoyed a came of rounders on the school field.
Have a lovely weekend

Hi,
An exciting end to the week ahead of the Coronation Weekend. Everyone looked fabulous dressed in red, white and blue. The children have been lucky enough to receive some Coronation memorabilia that has been donated by the Friends of Rufford Park.
The children have worked hard this week in the final preparations for the SATs (Standard Assessment Tests) next week and have been pleased to see the progress they have made. It is particularly important that children arrive promptly at school every day next week so the Year 6 cohort can complete the assessments together. We are running a Breakfast Club in the hall each morning next week so children can arrive at school and come to the main hall (the side doors will be open) around 8:30am. I have spoken to the children about the importance of getting a good night's sleep.
I hope you all have an amazing weekend celebrating the Coronation and the Year 6 Team will be ready to welcome the children with breakfast on Tuesday morning.
