Hi,
The final few weeks of term are speeding by!
This week, Year 6 organised their second Market Day Event as part of the 'Grow a £5 Challenge'. The event was very busy and lots of the products (bookmarks, cakes and sweets) sold out! The business groups counted the money they made yesterday and winners will be announced shortly.
The final Bikeability group completed their on the road training on Monday. Every child in Year 6 has now participated in training. Badges and certificates will be given out next week.
A group of Year 6 boys took part in a football tournament organised by Fisical Sports on Tuesday. A group of Year 6 girls took part in the girls' tournament last week. Both teams represented the school well and enjoyed this extra opportunity.
Following on from all of these activities, we finally came together as a cohort on Thursday to continue rehearsing the production of 'Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies'. It has been a tight rehearsal schedule but everyone is looking forward to performing to parents and carers on Wednesday 12th July. Each child has been given two tickets for the performance. If two tickets are not required please can they be returned to school so they can be redistributed. Costumes have been discussed with the children. Most have been provided by school and children know if they need to bring anything in from home.
Please can children use this weekend to ensure that they have learned their lines ready for next week's performance.
Have a sunny weekend!

Hello,
Year 6 have been taking part in Bikeability and production rehearsals of 'Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies' this week. The children have worked hard on their script rehearsals and reading parts for those children taking part in Bikeability. We are looking forward to a whole cast rehearsal next week and our final performance on Wednesday 12th July at 2pm. All lines need to be learned by Tuesday 4th July.
On Tuesday 4th July 2-4pm, Year 6 will be holding their second Market Day Event for their 'Grow a £5 Challenge'. Children in school will have the opportunity to visit during the afternoon and parents and carers after school.
Enjoy the Yeadon Carnival.

Hi,
Year 6 had a fantastic start to the week with their Market Day Event as part of their 'Grow a £5 Challenge' . The children have worked really hard to think of ways to grow their £5 and there was a range of games and stalls selling cakes, fudge, cookies, bookmarks and sweets. The next Market Day Event will be on Tuesday 4th July from 2-4pm.
Next week, is Bikeability week. The children have been told which days they will be cycling. Appropriate clothing and sun cream should be worn as the children will be outside for several hours.
Parts have now been given out for the school production. Children should be learning these lines over the weekend ready for a script rehearsal on Monday.
Enjoy the weekend
