Another great week in Lime Tree Class comes to an end! Well done to all pupils for their efforts this week. I have been extremely happy with everyone’s engagement in our new class book ‘Somebody Swallowed Stanley’. It really has generated some excellent discussions in class and the children have shown a great understanding of some really mature subjects such as pollution and recycling. We have made some excellent posters in our English lessons to help persuade others to recycle and use less plastic!
In Maths we have continued to work hard with early forms of multiplication and division in Year 1, and Year 2 have moved onto measuring length using standard units of measure.
I have been pleased to see an improvement in reading at home this week and it would be great if this could continue in future weeks as it really does help with fluency and comprehension when the children read their books more than once.
Have a great weekend and a well-earned rest!
