Weekly Update - 07.05.21

This week the children in Lime Tree class have worked extremely hard in their lessons. Over the 4 days we have been in school, the children have produced some excellent work on our new class book 'The Village of Round and Square Houses'.
Year 1 have worked hard on the first stage of multiplication this week, completing arrays and repeated addition number sentences in both practical and more formal lessons. Year 2 have carried on with fractions. We have looked at 1/2, 1/4 and 1/3 of shapes and quantities through a range of methods. I was so pleased with some of the homework we saw returned on this subject from last week!
We have also enjoyed learning about the the world's Oceans and Continents. Some excellent discussions came from our oceans lesson where we spoke briefly about the effects of climate change and how we can keep the ocean clean and safe.
