Weekly Update 6.12.24
Posted: Dec 6, 2024 by: K Atkinson (k.atkinson) on: Lime Tree Class Blog
We have been working hard on our Christmas performance this week and cannot wait to show it to you on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th December. In other festive news, the children created their own Christmas decoration which we have put on our class Christmas tree. Take a look!
We have continued to work hard in other areas of the curriculum too. In English we pretended to be Nellie Spindler and wrote a note to our sister Lily about life in Belgium, helping in WWI.
In maths, Year 1s have learnt about teen numbers, including how to represent teen numbers in ten frames and how to write the expanded form (e.g. 10 + 3 = 13).
Year 2 have completed some assessments in reading and maths and I am very impressed with how much they've remembered!
Please make sure your child brings a plain t-shirt or their PE t-shirt and shorts into school on Monday, to wear under their costume for the Christmas Play (a letter has been sent home today with further details).
Enjoy the weekend,
Miss Atkinson
