Hi,
We have been discussing our amazing trip to the Keighley and Worth Valley railway last week Trip Photos
The children are busy using their experience to plan a diary entry of a World War Two evacuee. I have been really impressed with the range of vocabulary being used and the thoughtful questions asked. It has also been lovely to receive several photos of children completing the World War Two recipe challenge. This homework challenge will last until December and complements our Design and Technology work where the children will be tasting seasonal food and designing a recipe using rationed ingredients available during the war.
On Wednesday, Year 6 took part in the Connect Challenge in memory of Rob Burrow by playing a Tag Rugby tournament. They received a special rugby ball that had been passed around nearly 50 schools in Leeds to symbolise friendship and connection with others.
Despite the soggy start to the week the end of the week has been glorious. Fingers crossed this continues into the weekend.
