Hi everyone,
This week, I have been particularly impressed with the children's progress in writing their evacuation diaries. They are becoming more skilled at using a range of vocabulary from our class novel (Goodnight Mr Tom) and their developing knowledge of World War Two. I am looking forward to sharing the completed work with parents/carers during parents' evening on Tuesday and Wednesday. Please book an appointment if you have not already done so.
It has also been lovely to receive photos from home from children who have been completing the World War Two recipe homework. Linked to our Design and Technology work, the children have been making a a variety of recipes using the rationed ingredients available during World War Two. I have heard that the recipes are delicious and fun to make. This homework will be taking place throughout the autumn term (until Christmas).
