Hi,
Maple Tree Class have been focusing on planning a piece of writing in the role of an evacuee this week. The children have been developing their vocabulary by reading a range of evacuee accounts and borrowing some great words and phrases. They will be working hard to show and not tell the reader the range of emotions the evacuee would have been feeling. I am looking forward to sharing some of this work in future blogs.
1970s disco is our music focus. It has been great fun to share this music (which I can remember from the 1970s!) and begin to learn some disco choreography!
Parents' evening will be on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th October. Appointments can be booked online from Monday. It will be great to speak to parents and update you on how your child has settled into Year 6 so far.
