Weekly Update 23.9.22

Hi,
The highlight of this week has been the visit to Eden Camp. The children enjoyed learning about World War Two by walking through the different huts where they experienced many different aspects such as The Blitz, the inside of a U-Boat and the home front. They also completed a quiz to find out lots of important facts that they will be using in class. At the end of the day, it was also nice to visit the adventure playground!
In addition this week, we did discuss the Queen's State Funeral and the different members of the royal family. In particular, the children recalled the previous year's topic of the Victorians and the relationship between Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth.
Next week, Year 6 will have a visit from a member of staff from Benton Park to let them know about the forthcoming open day on Saturday 8th October. The closing date for all secondary school applications is 31st October 2022.
