A super week for these children especially!
Attendance raffle winner: Matilda!
And STILL we are in January....As the children have come into class each morning, their ears have been assailed with the sounds of ‘Girl Power’ bands. It is probably no surprise to hear that the Spice Girls caused the best reaction!
In English lessons, we have been continuing to write a poem about the layers of the rainforest. The children have found it interesting to research facts about rainforests and are very enthusiastic. Hopefully, these pieces of work will be completed and published next week.
In Maths, work has begun on division– once again, it is clear that the children who have a ready knowledge of their times tables have found this unit much easier than those who don’t. Please spend times practising these at home, if your child struggles to recall these facts. 6x, 7x and 8x seem to be the weakest tables in Oak Tree Class. For Maths, some children will have Times Table homework this w/end; others will have division homework. All will have spellings and Grammar.
Along with PE, RE, French, Topic (Geography) and PSHE lessons we have had a busy week!
There will be more Bugsy information next week, but please check your child's bag for a letter about costumes for our production. Dates are also on this letter and Mr Cooke has added the to his newsletter too.
Enjoy your weekend,
Yours,
Mrs Adrienne Amos
