Cedar Wk 3 Summer 2 w.e 23.06.23

Hello
An exciting week this week in Cedar class. We have finished our carnival themed masks ready for the Yeadon Art Exhibition and the children used their British Values of democracy (as discussed in Mr Cooke's recent assembly) to vote on their favourite masks to be displayed.
Later this week, the children will be bringing home their own grown sunflowers from our plant unit in Science. If your child doesn't bring theirs home yet it will be because we are replanting some that failed initially to grow. The children have been enthralled with the plants' progress over the last few weeks.
I am so proud of the children who have shown the skills they have learnt, since September, in their Summer term NFER assessments (Maths and Reading). They are also currently midway through writing an historical fiction story linked to our Stone Age to Iron Age topic.
Finally, in P.E the children are showing how skilled they can be at rounders!
Have a good weekend
