Week 2 Summer 2 Cedar Class w/e 16.06.23

Hello
A busy second week whilst trying to stay cool in the Summer heat. Where possible, we endeavour to continue outdoor learning which enhances your child's learning experiences so we continue to ask that you send your child with sun hats (when appropriate) and if you want them to reapply their sun cream during the school day that you remind your child where it is in their belongings. Thank you.
In English, we have been focussing on writing direct speech using inverted commas in preparation for writing our own short adventure stories linked to our Stone Age to Iron Age topic.
In Maths, we have been trying to master reading both digital and analogue clocks. We are so proud of our Year 4 children who have now completed their statutory Department for Education Multiplication Check tests online. As this is not a school assessment we have no access to their results and we await their results that the government will release to us as part of their national release of data in the near future.
This week we welcomed some parent visitors who reiterated to the children the importance of staying safe online. This may lead to some of your children asking you further questions.
