Hello everyone,
Well, it's been another busy week for Willow Tree. It's been assessment week and I'm pleased to say that the children have tried their absolute best with them and given it their all. In Science, the children have also been busy creating and testing electrical circuits and identifying what components are required to create a complete circuit.
As part of our topic on Volcanoes and Fossils, the children also began working on their model volcanoes. They started off by using scrap paper to create the shape of their volcano and then they used modroc to create a strong shell on top of the paper. They worked brilliantly in their groups and it was so lovely to see that again.
Again, as part of our topic work, we have been looking at Mary Anning and this week the children used Google Earth to explore her hometown of Lyme Regis. They all really enjoyed this :)
