Hello everyone,
Well, it's been a busy but productive first week back! It was lovely to see everyone back together and the children have returned to their work with energy and enthusiasm.
As part of our topic work on Volcanoes and Fossils, the children became 'history detectives' - searching for clues about the famous fossil hunter Mary Anning. We studied her portrait (below), learnt the difference between primary and secondary historical sources, and also considered their reliability.
Thank you for continuing to read with your child at home every evening. Regular home reading is one of the biggest factors in helping children to make outstanding progress with their learning. Please ensure your child brings their reading record to school every day.
