School dinner menu 1 June: partial re-opening30 May 2020 (by admin) |
Menu for the children returning to school from 1 June
From 1 June, we will be providing a packed lunch in place of the normal school dinner. Please see the attached menu for your records. This menu will be available at no cost to all children attending school in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (key worker / vulnerable children) as they are entitled to a Universal Infant Free School Meal (UIFSM) as well as any children in KS2 who are entitled to a Free School Meal (FSM). Normal charges will be applied for any other children requesting a school packed lunch.
The sandwich choices will be: Ham, Egg Mayonnaise, Cheese, Chicken Mayonnaise. These will all be served on sliced wholemeal bread and individually wrapped. The children will be able to make a sandwich choice every day – for the younger children, parents might like to make this choice for their child for the full week. They can do this by recording it on paper and sending it in a named envelop at the beginning of each week.
In school, the daily organisation will be as follows: packed lunches will be delivered to a transfer point outside each class base by our catering staff (wearing the appropriate PPE) and will then be collected by the class teacher.
The catering team have put together a 2 weekly menu which includes a selection of hot and cold food to offer a variation which will also be served as a packed lunch with disposables in the same manner. This menu will be made available once we are back and we have some stability with the numbers requiring a school meal.
If you do not want your child to access this school meal option then you must send them to school with a packed lunch from home.
