Weekly Update - 21.5.21

Hi there,
I hope you've had a good week; we certainly have in Oak Tree :)
The children have been extremely busy in English, finalising and publishing their David Attenborough diary entries. Click here to see! I am really impressed with the children's focus and determination when they write up big pieces of work in neat - it takes a lot of time and effort and it definitely pays off. We also took some time out to enjoy our new guided reading novel, Darwin's Dragons, outside (see below)! It was lovely to listen to the birds and be in a different space whilst enjoying our exciting new book! The children have asked if we can do this more often, I've told them yes, as long as the weather changes its tune and provides us with a bit more sunshine!
In maths, the children have been drawing and measuring their own angles, which takes a lot of time, accuracy and effort. They have enjoyed mastering how to use a protractor.
I look forward to next week, our final week before the May half-term break.
Best wishes,
Miss Johansson
