Weekly Update - 14.5.21

Hello,
Oak Tree have been super busy this week! The children finished and published their fantastic Galapagos Islands travel leaflets - click here to see! I am so proud of how hard they worked during this piece of work and they should be too! Towards the end of the week, the children started to write a diary entry from the perspective of David Attenborough visiting the Galapagos Islands - pictures below!
In maths, we've moved onto our next topic, 'Geometry: Property of Shapes', and began by taking it back to basics with identifying and ordering angles, such as: full turns, half turns, quarter turns and relating these to angles. Later on in the week, the children took their time becoming confident using a protractor, practising measuring acute and obtuse angles!
Have a lovely weekend - let's hope the rain is kept at bay!
