Hello everyone,
It’s been lovely to welcome all the children back to school and they have all made a great impression during this short, first week back.
We have already started reading the first two chapters of our class novel, which is Good Night Mister Tom by Michelle Magorian, and the children are really enjoying it. The book links in with our topic theme of World War 2 and it’s a topic that the children are clearly interested in and have already been asking lots of questions about.
We are currently recapping a range of grammar objectives in our writing and the children will be building up to writing a 500-word story over the next few weeks, which is part of a competition that is being run by the BBC.
