Year 6 Book Club
Year 6 children at Rufford Park have the opportunity to join book club. We rotate books on a three week cycle and meet each week to discuss our thoughts about what we have read so far. Each child is encouraged to keep a book club journal where they can make notes, diagrams, drawings etc. about characters, settings and events from the book they are reading to discuss. Below are some pictures of example journals and of the children enjoying their weekly meetings. Each child will read 4 books during their time in the club. Book club promotes new and exciting texts written by carefully selected authors. Many of our current selection have been nominated for or won prestigious children's book awards.
