Hi,
This week in Ash Tree we have been very cross! We found out that Leeds City Council want to close down Leeds Sailing and Activity Centre (LSAC) which is located at the Tarn. Year 6's from Rufford Park always visit LSAC in the summer term before they move on to secondary as a final class treat. We are very disappointed because if the centre closes we won't get the chance to experience the fun activities they offer!
As a result, in English, we have been planning to write persuasive letters to Leeds City Council and our local MP to fight against the closure. Once our letters are finished next week we will post some on the blog so watch this space!
The following link takes you to a survey about the potential closure if you would like to give your views: https://active.leeds.gov.uk/home/consultation.
In maths, Miss Bairstow's group have been learning to multiply by 10, 100 and 100 and Mr Smith and Mrs Trotter's groups have been adding and subtracting fractions with different denominators.
This week, the class helped to write this blog post and want to share their highlight of the week which was learning to play handball in P.E!
