Weekly Update 14.5.21

Welcome back to the blog!
Beech Tree Class have had another exciting and busy week..
SUCCESS! Our final draft persuasive letters were effective and the children enjoyed some time on the trim trail. We were so delighted with our hard work that many of use chose to put our letters on the 'wall of fame' display.
In English, we continued our work on persuasive writing. We worked together to create adverts and aimed to persuade the rest of the class to buy our products!
In maths, we have been consolidating our money skills. This includes word problems, estimating and rounding amounts, adding, subtracting, finding change and solving reasoning problems.
This afternoon, we will also be creating some art in nature as part of Mental Health Awareness week. Mental and physical health is woven throughout our lessons and ethos within our school but it will be lovely to put some specific time aside to look after ourselves and engage in our natural world! Thank you for all of the Nell Bank permission slips we have already had. If you have not handed it in, please do so ASAP as our trip is next Wednesday (19th May)!
Take care,
Mrs Cahill
