Weekly Update 11.12.20 from Mrs. Waddilove-Carr

Welcome back to the blog!
It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! Year 4 have decorated the class tree and have been busy making a few Christmassy things to come home. The children have ended the week in Christmas jumpers and are definitely getting excited about the big day!
Reading – We have done more comprehension practice this week and a bit on poetry.
Writing – We have worked really hard to get our Roman information texts finished and they look great!
Maths - We have done lots more on multiplication and division this week. We have learnt how to use our fingers to solve the 9 times tables and have been faced with some tricky word problems. We have marked our own work and are working on trying to solve our own mistakes.
Science- We have looked at human and animal teeth and have talked about why different animals have different teeth and what they are used for. Did you know human babies are born with all their teeth? They are hidden in their gums.
Walking to Lapland – We have been out on a few walks this week to help push up the school’s step count. We’re not quite at Lapland yet but we’re getting closer. Thanks to those of you who have donated.
