Hello everyone,
This week, the children took part in the Leeds City Final for skipping. They were competing against 7 other schools in a range of individual and group skipping skills. The all performed really well and gave it their absolute best. We were able to win three bronze awards, one silver and one gold for the individual skipping skills, however, we weren't able to win the overall competition. The children showed great sportsmanship towards other schools and of course to the overall winning school. Yet again, they represented the school incredibly well and we're very proud of them.
In our maths, we have come to the conclusion of our unit of work on money, and this week, we have focused on solving a variety of problems which require the use of one or more of the four maths operations. It was lovely to see the children using great mathematical vocabulary and fantastic working out to back up their opinions and seeing them use the inverse operations to check that their answers were correct. Well done!
