Weekly Update 21/1/22

Posted: Jan 20, 2022 by: Mr Kyriacou (n.kyriacou) on: Beech Tree Blog

Hello everyone,

In science, we have continued our work on states of matter. This week the children were conducting an investigation to identify what happens to chocolate when it is exposed to different temperatures. The children conducted their investigations and in their groups, they had to make sure that they all had the correct equipment, knew how to conduct the investigation safely, to make sure that they were conducting the test fairly and to make sure that they made careful observations and recorded times as the state of the chocolate changed. The children absolutely loved it and they conducted their tests safely, responsibly and accurately. And yes, they all got a delicious piece of chocolate to eat as well :)

On Thursday, the Academy of Northern Ballet visited  Beech Tree and the children took part in creating a sequence of ballet moves including the arabesque and terdu. The children really enjoyed it and there are some videos of the workshop below. Enjoy!
