Weekly Update 12.5.23

Hello everyone,
Another short week in school but the children have worked hard in every single lesson!
We have had a great time practising our throwing skills in athletics using javelins. In maths, we read 'The Great Pet Sale' to start our lessons on money and looked at different currencies from around the world. Next week, we will be looking at adding money and finding change.
In English, we started the writing process for a descriptive piece of writing by looking at personification, fronted adverbials and metaphors.
In science, we planted our sunflower seeds and we are looking forward to seeing how these start to grow over the next few weeks!
Homework will be sent home tonight and is due in on Wednesday. Reading books were changed yesterday and will be changed again next Thursday. Please make sure your child has read at least 5 times by then; this can be any book that they enjoy reading as well as their reading scheme book.
