Weekly Update 21.4.23

Hello everyone,
What a great first week back we have had! The children have come back to school enthusiastic and ready to learn which has been fantastic.
We have started lots of new topics of learning this week and I am excited to see how the children progress in these new areas. In English, we have been looking at the different features of instructions and are preparing to write our own set of instructions.
In computing, we have been looking at the advantages and disadvantages of text and images to convey different messages to people.
In maths, we have looked at the difference between capacity and volume and have been able to identify different volumes of liquids using litres and millilitres.
In guided reading, we have focused on making predictions and used clues from our new book "Stone Age Boy" to guess what we think might happen in the story.
Reading books will be changed next Thursday. Homework will be sent home tonight and is due in on Wednesday. Our PE days for this half term are Tuesdays and Thursdays.
