Weekly Update 10.3.23
Posted: Mar 10, 2023 by: K Simms (k.simms) on: Willow Tree Class Blog
Hello everyone!
Even though our week has been cut short, we have still completed a fantastic amount of learning and the children’s enthusiasm to learn new information continues to grow.
In maths, we have started our new topic of mass and capacity and the children investigated the mass of different objects in both grams and kilograms. Perhaps during this snowy weather, they could practise measuring out the different ingredients of a delicious recipe!
In English, we have been writing our draft non-chronological reports all about natural disasters and the children have had lots of opportunities to research some interesting facts all about their chosen topic. We are looking forward to writing these up in neat next week to share with you.
Homework has been sent home during the week and will be due in next Friday. Children should continue working on their projects and I would like to see that children are including lots of key information about their chosen volcano so that they are able to present this on Monday 27th March.
I hope the children are enjoying the snow (safely!) and I will see you all when we return on Monday.
Best wishes,
Miss Simms
