Weekly Update 24.6.22

Hello everyone,
The children in Willow Tree have been extremely busy this week and have dealt tremendously well with all the assessments taking place. I am so proud of each and everyone of them for how much progress they have made since September and they should be very proud of themselves!
We have also spent time preparing for Sports Day next Wednesday and the children have chosen their main event for the afternoon from: skipping, running, relay, egg and spoon and the sack race.
Homework this week is to continue with their Ancient Egypt project which is due in on the 11th July - I am looking forward to seeing these!
Children should also spend some time practising their times tables ready for their Times Table Awards test each Thursday. They might use Hit the Button, TT Rockstars or practise them with another person.
Spellings for the week are (words ending with ‘ture’): creature, picture, nature, furniture, capture, culture, moisture, future, gesture, structure.
