Weekly Update 6.5.22

Hello everyone,
What an extremely busy week we have had here in Willow Tree Class but as always the children have risen to the challenge!
In maths we have finished our Money topic and the children have now started their learning on Time. We began by checking we all knew the days of the week and months of the year and then we had a go at ordering ourselves from oldest to youngest using our birthdays.
In English, the children have continued to develop their skills in sentence up-levelling and have used a variety of language features to write some very informative reports about the Ancient Egyptians.
We had an exciting afternoon on Wednesday when the children were able to say hello to our class stick insects now they are a little bigger (take a look on the Willow Tree Class Page to see if you can spot them)! Hopefully it won't be long till we can hold them properly!
Homework will be sent home today and involves a short reading comprehension, practising our new spellings and looking at the division facts for the 3 times tables.
