Weeky Update 11.11.2022

We have had a fun-filled week in Pear Tree.
One of the biggest highlights has been the Florence Nightingale workshop that happened on Tuesday afternoon. The children enjoyed pretending to be nurses and porters and gave Scutari hospital a very good clean. They also worked in small groups to talk about which items would be found in the dirty hospital and the clean hospital. Florence Nightingale brought in some boxes of different smells which the children had to sort into clean or dirty which prompted a lot of extreme reactions!
On Wednesday afternoon Pear Tree were also taught a street dance class by a dance specialist from Leeds Rhinos. The dance teacher was very impressed with the children's ability to remember the whole dance routine, as well as their ability to add their own individual flair to the dance steps.
Please make sure you are reading lots at home. The winner of the first Aslan Reading Challenge will be announced on Tuesday 15th October and all the children want to win Aslan for our class.
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Atkinson
