Hello!
What a busy week!
On Monday we had the KS1 Disco. The children all looked fantastic in their party clothes and had some great fun dancing in bubbles. Let's All Do the Conga!
On Tuesday all children made South African Crunchies. Crunchies are a traditional traybake filled with oats, coconut and flavoured with cinnamon and golden syrup. Everyone had great fun making these and took some home which hopefully they shared... If not and you fancy a bit of baking here is the recipe that we used: https://saltyginger.com/crunchies/
We also had our African Model Exhibition on Tuesday after school - Thank you again for your hard work on these!
We have been out in the sunshine sketching plants and going on a wildlife colour hunt for Science. The children have also written acrostic poems about Africa.
Reports were given to the children on Wednesday - Thank you to those who have already given me the reply slips! It is always lovely to have feedback on them. We will be keeping hold of book bags and reading books from today, these will be returned to the children by their new class teacher in September.
As this is the final Friday of the school year this will be my final blog from Lime Tree. We have had a fantastic year filled with wonderful memories and I wish all the children the very best in their new class next year. Have a fantastic summer holidays and Rufford Park will be here to welcome you back in September :)
