Hello!
We have had another full week in Lime Tree.
In English we have written another diamante poem all about Africa. Children have chosen their own topics linked to this and have done a fantastic job at remembering the structure of these poems.
Year 2 had a very special morning on Wednesday as we attended the Skipping Festival held at Leeds Trinity University. All the children did a fantastic job and represented the school fantastically. We came away with lots of bronze, silver and gold awards! Watch the videos below.
In Science we have been looking at polar and desert habitats. The children were able to identify the animals that belong to each habitat and explain why they are suited to it. We have been choosing our races for next weeks Sports Day. The children are very excited and we hope to see lots of parents there :)
Polite reminder: Please can children not play on the trim trail before and after school as we are not able to supervise the children at these times. There is also the risk of injuries! We would appreciate your cooperation with this. The children get plenty of time to play on the equipment during the school day (children have also been given this message by Mr Cooke during assembly).
