Hello!
In English we have created a new version of our focus text. We have changed the story to 'Lila and the Secret of Sun'. In Lila's village it has rained for weeks and weeks. The only way to stop it is to climb up the tallest mountain and tell the sky something happy. Using this new version the children wrote another recount as Lila.
In Maths Year 2 have been working very hard on some arithmetic and reasoning problems. They should be really proud of themselves! Year 1 have been looking at place value (up to 100) and how to represent tens and ones using different practical resources.
In Science we looked at sustainability and what wildlife does for us. Linking to this we looked at marine conservation which is the focus of the ALPT's Art Exhibition this year. The children created little sea creature polystyrene tiles which we used to print with ink and rollers.
Today has been 'Make the Rules Day'. The children all look fantastic and we have had a great last day.
