Hello!
In English we have been writing a recount as Lila from our focus text. I was so impressed with everyone's work! The children's use of language and imagination was fantastic!
In Art we looked at the sculptor Eva Rothschild. The children had a go at creating a sculpture inspired by her work using marshmallows and spaghetti.
In Topic we looked at the country Kenya and how it has lots of different landscapes. We introduced the words urban and rural which helped us sort pictures of Kenya. The children also identified the human and physical features that they could see in rural Kenya.
Next Friday is the FORP 'Make the Rules Day'. There is a new bespoke rule which has been chosen by each class. In Lime we had two that came out as the favourites - At dinner time eat your pudding first or bring in your favourite book to share with the class. If your child would like to choose the bespoke rule they can do either.
