Hello!
Our very short Spring 1 term has come to an end already!
This week we have been busy writing our instructions for the Fairy Godmother on how to get Cinderella ready for the Royal Ball. Everyone has done a great job with remembering to include all the key features from our checklist we made last week.
In Maths Year 1 have moved on to division as sharing. We worked practically to share a given number between 2 and 5 groups. The children then moved on to recording in their own books using the same method but sharing between 2, 3 4 and 5 groups. Year 2 have been multiplying and dividing by 2, 5 and 10. We spent today consolidating the three and some children had a go at our KS1 time table challenge. Once the children have achieved there 2's, 5's and 10's they receive certificates and a badge.
In DT the children began designing their own moving picture based on a scene in Cinderella. They had to annotate their plan with which mechanisms they would use and what it would do e.g. slider for prince Charming to chase Cinderella out of the palace.

World Book Day is taking place on Thursday 7th March. You will have received a letter about this electronically but I have also attached this below. Each child has been sent home with a thought bubble - please read the letter to find out what you will need to do with it.
