Hello!
Another short week has flown by. It has been a different week for us in Lime Tree with the Year 2's having to do some special jobs and the Year 1's having to work with different adults during the morning session. I want to thank all of the children for being flexible with this change and being positive in every situation.
Due to the slightly different time table this week, the class has been working separately on English. Year 1's have created a new member of the Jolly Rogers family and have written character descriptions. After reading them, it seems we have some very fierce grandma's in Dull-on-Sea!
As part of our 'message in the bottle' topic we have been looking at the world map. The children are now confident with the seven continents and five oceans. We have learnt two songs to help us remember them.
In Science, we have looked at animal offspring and how some offspring is different to others. Some are born looking like their adults and some look completely different, but they go through a metamorphosis process.
Thank you to everyone who has already contributed resources for our DT project! These need to be in school by Monday please.
