Hello!
This week has been another manic one in Lime Tree Class with lots going on.
In English we have continued with our focus text 'The Pirates Next Door'. It is a fabulous story and the children have really enjoyed reading and exploring ideas with their writing. This week we have written letters as angry neighbours to the council insisting that the Jolly Rogers must leave because of the chaos they are causing in Dull-on-Sea.
In Maths both Year 1 and 2 have been revisiting and consolidated the different addition and subtraction methods we have covered this year. We have also been working on our number bonds to 10 and thinking how we could use them to help us solve greater number bonds.
In Science we have been looking at the 5 animal groups and comparing them by identifying the different features and characteristics.
It is not long until the Year 2's will be attending the Skipping Festival so we have spent some of our PE time practising. In today's lesson we have had another visit from the dance coach which is something to look forward to on a Friday!
