Weekly Update 31.03.23

Hello!
I can not believe how quickly the end of this term has come... We are already 2/3 of the way through the school year!
I just want to say a massive thank you to each of the children in my class for making the first year of my career such a positive one. They all come to school with a big smile every day and give everything their best effort.
Lime Tree have worked super hard right up to the end. In Maths we have finished our final week on Money by comparing values and making different amounts. In English we have been writing character descriptions of Little Red Riding Hood and The Big Bad Wolf. We have also created WANTED posters for the terrifying, criminal Wolf. In Science we revisited our cress experiment which clearly proved that for plants to grown healthy and strong they need light, water, the right temperature and time. In Art we have created some pop art portraits of the monarchs we have been looking at during our topic lessons.
The week ended on a high with the children completing the 'Egg Scramble' in the hall and each child finding their own Easter egg. We have decided to send 2 books home for the easter holidays so you have plenty to read. After the holidays our PE days will be Wednesday (instead of Tuesday) and Friday. Please make sure your child comes to school in their PE kit on these days.
I hope you all have a lovely break and I look forward to welcoming you all back on Monday the 17th April.
