Hello!
Welcome back and a belated Happy New Year to you all!
The children have made a fantastic start to 2023 - every single one of them has come back to school with a super attitude and have been ready to get stuck in with all learning.
Our new topic this half term is all about Superheroes. We have been looking at real life heroes such as doctors, firefighters and charity workers and comparing them with fictional superheroes.
Our new topic has also influenced our English this week as we have been writing character descriptions about Elastigirl from The Incredibles family.
In Maths, Year 1 have continued with their numbers and bonds to 20. Year 2 have been consolidating various addition and subtraction methods before we progress on to multiplication and division next week.
The 'Aslan Reading Challenge' will continue this term. Your continued support in listening to your child read at home, at least 3 times a week, is really needed and much appreciated. Please remember little and often is the key.
