This week has been National Storytelling Week!
In school we have celebrated this by having extra daily story telling sessions. Each class has had a chance to ring the school bell to let the whole school know it is time to read a story. We also had a Story Teller visit school on Wednesday. The children really enjoyed this and listened for nearly an hour to a variety of stories. It has been lovely to read some extra stories and listen to the children talk about some of their favourite books. I hope this encourages them all to read more often at home.
In maths we have been revisiting place value. We have been partitioning and ordering numbers on a number line. We have also been adding and subtracting multiples of 10.
We have continued with our work based on the story of Cinderella. This week we have been looking at writing to Inform. We have been looking at Instructional Writing and will be writing some of our own Cinderella themed instruction next week.
